I have spoken to many constituents, in recent weeks, who have either been the victim of a crime or know someone who has. Among the range of emotions expressed are feelings of fear, anger, helplessness and a strong desire to ensure that no one else is victimized.
Removing criminals from our streets is not about “getting even” it’s about getting justice for victims who don’t, more than anyone, want to see others victimized.
