Saint Jean Baptiste Day, also known as La Fête nationale du Québec, honors the nativity of Saint John the Baptist and the rich culture, history, and identity of Quebec.
Outside of Quebec, particularly in other French-speaking communities across Canada, Saint Jean Baptiste Day is also celebrated to recognize and promote French Canadian culture and heritage.
