National Day of Remembrance for Victims of Terrorism/Anniversary of the Air India Bombing

Today marks the 39th anniversary of the Air India Bombing, the worst terrorist attack in Canadian history. On June 23rd, 1985, a bomb exploded on Air India Flight 182 en route from Toronto to London, England killing all 329 people aboard, most of them Canadians. My prayers go out to the families of the victims.
The anniversary of this horrific tragedy is now observed as National Day of Remembrance for Victims of Terrorism, which honours all the lives lost because of terrorism and serves as a reminder that national security and the safety of Canadians must always remain a top priority.
